Got tagged by a friend on this OC questionnaire, so here we go. This time, the characters who will answer these questions are characters from a rather new story concept of mine. You'll learn who they are along the way, I guess ^^


1. How old are you?

Amethyst: I'm 18.
Carnelian: 26.
Citrine: I'm 18 as well.
Onyx: Me too.
Ruby: I'm 17…


2. Do you want a hug?

Amethyst: Yeah! Hugs for everybody!
Carnelian: No, I think I'll pass…
Citrine: Sure…
Onyx: Nah… I'm not really into hugs.
Amethyst: Really, Onyx! Don't be so emo. Hugs will do you good!
Onyx: Just shut up!
Ruby: I want a hug! Can I please hug Amethyst too?


3. Have any bad habits?

Amethyst: I have things thing for breaking rules… Sometimes it isn't even intentional, it just happens! It has landed me in trouble plenty of times.
Carnelian: I used to have a couple of bad habits, but it was part of my training to become a weapon master to conquer them. I've had a couple of relapses though…
Citrine: Uh… I don't really know. Sometimes in class I secretly watch the handsome guys instead of studying *blushes*
Onyx: I sketch a lot. On my hands.
Ruby: Uhm… I don't really know… But sure I have some… But you don't really notice bad habits until you start to think about them, right?


4. You a virgin?

Amethyst: I… Hey, why am I answering? It's hardly a fair question!
Carnelian: I am a father since about a year.
Citrine: I don't understand why you would want to know… *blushes again*
Onyx: Does this somewhat matter to you?!
Ruby: Eh… Uhm… uh…


5. Have any kids?

Amethyst: No, baby. I haven't even finished school yet!
Carnelian: Yes, I have a son.
Citrine: No, I'm far too young…
Onyx: No.
Ruby: I'm the youngest here, and if  Citrine thinks she is too young, well… What do think I would be then?


6. Favourite food or drink?

Amethyst: I'm not a huge fan of food, but I like pie. Especially these dessert pies with fruit or berries in them. For drink I like juice.
Carnelian: I'm a vegetarian, but I'm not sure I have an absolute favourite. I like variation.
Citrine: I grew up by the sea, so seafood will always have a special place in my heart.
Onyx: I like dishes with rice in them, especially when they're spicy.
Ruby: Everything but porridge. I just hate porridge!


7. Killed anyone?

Amethyst: I'm killing spiders who live under my bed quite frequently… Does that count?
Carnelian: I was a soldier for a couple of years before I chose to be a master of the blade and dedicate my life to the art. So yes, I have killed. And I will go to war again, if that is what is required of me.
Citrine: No, of course not!
Onyx: Why would I?
Ruby: No! Of course I have not! How terrible!


8. Hate anyone?

Amethyst: Hate is a strong word… But I really dislike Onyx.
Onyx: Well, I dislike you just as much. We're square.
Citrine: What's wrong with you two? Why can't you just be friends?
Carnelian: There are people who I don't like, but I don't hate them. It's a terrible feeling who can devastate even the strongest man.
Citrine: No… Not hate. But Amethyst can be really irritating, and there are times when I think I hate him for just a couple of seconds.
Amethyst: Hey!!
Ruby: Hate? I don't think I could…


9. Any secrets?

Amethyst: Lots of 'em. But it's not like I'm going to spill them all here!
Ruby: Please, Ame! Just one little secret?
Amethyst: Well…
Carnelian: My past holds many secrets, dark secrets and not so dark ones. Though it's not things I spill out lightly.
Amethyst: But come on! We hardly know anything about you!
Carnelian: *Smiles secretively*
Citrine: Of course, every girl has her secrets, you know.
Onyx: No secrets worth telling…
Citrine: You lie, don't you, Onyx?
Onyx: Maybe…
Ruby: Citrine said it too well… Every girl has her secrets… *Throws a glance at Amethyst*
Carnelian: Only you don't hide it too well, Ruby.
Ruby: Shut it, will you? Next question!


10. Love anyone?

Carnelian: Of course I'm in love with Olivine, my wife.
Amethyst: Yeah, sure do. Though she thinks I'm irritating, and she's in love with the jerk of the universe.
Ruby: *Giggles*
Amethyst: What? Not funny!
Citrine: Yes, it's very funny, Ame! Because we all know who you are speaking about. And I don't think he's a jerk…
Onyx: Thanks, Ci.
Ruby: Oh… Does that mean…?
Amethyst: No! Next question!!


11. What is your job?

Amethyst: I don't have a job. I'm still in school.
Carnelian: As a master of the blade I'm teaching sword wielding to these kids… Or some of them at least.
Citrine: I'm a classmate of Amethyst's, so I guess he has already answered for me.
Onyx: Well, not so much more to say. I'm a classmate of theirs too.
Ruby: I'm one year below them in school.


12. Favourite season?

Amethyst: Autumn is a perfect season to throw against-the-rules parties in the dormitory, but I also like winter a lot. Snowball-fight with Hematite! That is awesome. I usually enjoy throwing some at Onyx as well.
Onyx: I've noticed.
Carnelian: My favourite time of the year is when winter passes into spring, just when the snow is melting.
Citrine: Uhm, late summer I guess. The evenings are dark and still warm… Candles on the porch at home, the moon glittering on the sea… It's lovely and kind of romantic.
Onyx: I like winter, I find the chill in the air rather cosy actually. And I simply love sitting by the fireplace with a warm plaid over my shoulders and a cup of hot chocolate. And this year I'm going to have revenge on Amethyst!
Amethyst: I'll be prepared.
Ruby: Spring or summer, I think. I'm not so much for cold.


13. Who's your best friend?

Amethyst: His name is Hematite and he's not here… Why didn't you invite him?
Citrine: Because you two would have ruined the whole thing with your stupid jokes, that's why.
Amethyst: Ouch. Sometimes you are so… I don't know… sharp?
Onyx: She's right. You two never take things serious when you come together, Ame.
Amethyst: Maybe not. Life would be so boring otherwise.
Carnelian: That's got to be my twin brother Obsidian. We have stuck together ever since we were born and we are not likely to change that anytime soon.
Citrine: I don't really know, actually. I have many good friends.
Onyx: I'm kind of a lone-wolf… And it's definitely not Amethyst. Though I usually hang out with Jet and Zeo.
Ruby: I have to agree with Citrine… I have many friends.


14. Hobbies?

Amethyst: I play the violin, and hang out a lot with friends.
Carnelian: I practise my sword wielding and meditate a lot in my spare time. I also enjoy taking long walks and spend time with my family, especially since my son was born.
Citrine: I like dancing.
Onyx: I'm reading and sketching a lot. I used to have a horse, but it was a bit hard when I started school and was away from home most of the year. But I miss it, and during the summers I often ride my sister's horse.
Ruby: I'm such a huge fan of cakes, and I love baking.


15. What are you going to do when this tag is over?

Amethyst: I don't know… It will probably involve some unintentional breaking of rules.
Citrine: Not so smart saying that with a teacher listening…
Carnelian: I'll keep an eye on you, Amethyst. I always do anyway.
Amethyst: What? I didn't say anything!
Onyx: Sure you didn't. I'm going to do some homework.
Amethyst: Homework! Ugh.
Ruby: What about just sitting around in the common room? Nothing wrong with just eating some candy.
Citrine: I have homework too… Though the common room idea sounds far more appealing.
Carnelian: I have a class to teach. But first of all I shall see to it that young Amethyst here stays within the lines of the rules.
Amethyst: Just try and stop me!
Citrine: For once, Ame. Just. Shut. Up.


16. What is your eye colour?

Amethyst: Hey, I draw my power from the amethyst! What colour do you think my eyes are!?
Carnelian: Fiery red, just like my stone of power.
Citrine: They've already said it. The citrine is golden, and so are my eyes.
Onyx: No need to tell you, I guess.
Ruby: Red as blood… Ruby red… Do you think red and purple look good together?
Amethyst: ...


17. Are you good? Or bad?

Amethyst: Of course I'm good!!
Carnelian: That depends on who you ask…
Ruby: What are you talking about? Your dark secrets? *Smiles hopefully*
Carnelian: Just ask the Boreas generals. Do you think they would say I'm good? No, they would not. The soldiers that fell for my blades on the battlefield? Probably not.
Amethyst: Maybe Carnelian is right… Though I'm still pretty certain I'm good. I haven't killed, I'm trying to stay out of this war thing going on…
Citrine: …but not out of trouble!
Amethyst: Hey, that's nothing to do with being evil! I'm not even picking on people for fun!
Onyx: …
Amethyst: Okay, maybe with the exception of Onyx.
Onyx: Right… I think I'm rather good… Though I haven't really thought about it before.
Ruby: I'm almost certain I'm good. I couldn't be evil, I think...


18. If you could get anything right now what would it be?

Carnelian: Some fresh air and a glass of water. It's getting rather stuffy in here. Someone open a window?
Amethyst: Good idea. And I think I would like… I don't know. I'm feeling rather content. Could never say no a little more spotlight, though.
Citrine: You get far too much spotlight as it is! Leave some for everybody else!
Amethyst: So what would you like, then, Citrine?
Citrine: Well, I wish I had a piece of cloth to stuff into your mouth to shut you up!
Amethyst: Ouch.
Onyx: Does anybody have a pen I can borrow?
Ruby: I don't know… A hug, maybe. Or some cake. I like cake.


19. What is your greatest fear?

Amethyst: I really hate bugs since my brother tried to make me eat them when we were kids… Though what I really fear the most is being mind-locked… That's one scary ability. I'm glad it's really rare.
Carnelian: Losing my loved ones, of course. My brother, my wife, my son… I don't know what I'd do without them.
Citrine: I agree with Carnelian. I can't imagine what life would be like without my family. But I'm also scared of heights. They make me all dizzy.
Amethyst: You… you are afraid of heights? Are you kidding me?
Citrine: No… Anything wrong with that?
Amethyst: No… I… just…
Onyx: I hate being under-water, so I guess I have a fear of drowning. I can swim, though.
Ruby: I suffer from claustrophobia…


20. Does your name have a special meaning?

Amethyst: Uhm, I thought you might have figured that out by now...
Carnelian: I wouldn't have said it with those words, but I have to agree with Amethyst. It is pretty obvious.
Amethyst: Wow, I never thought I'd hear you say that. You never agree with me!
Carnelian: Usually not.
Citrine: Nothing more to say. It means exactly what it sounds like.
Onyx: Yeah… Our world's traditions doesn't really allow us to be very creative with names. Everybody is named after the stone from which they draw their power.
Ruby: Yeah… They've already said it.


21. Any siblings?

Amethyst: My older brother Aquamarine and my younger brother Alexandrite. I love them, even though they are idiots sometimes. I guess that's the way of things.
Carnelian: I have my twin brother, Obsidian. We stick together no matter what trouble we might face.
Citrine: I have a four brothers… I'm the only girl in the family except mom.
Onyx: A sister… She can be rather nice when she wants to.
Ruby: No, I don't have any siblings. Though I have some cousins I use to hang out with during the summer breaks.


22. Where do you live?

Amethyst: During the terms I live at school, in the dormitory… But my family lives in a beautiful town in the eastern empire. That's where I was born, and that's what I truly call home.
Citrine: I come from the eastern empire too, but from the southern coast. I grew up there, by the sea… It's the most beautiful place in the world. And it's rather far from the borders of the northern kingdom. If I'm not entirely mistaken, it is the farthest form the war you can come these days.
Carnelian: I'm also from the east. Grew up there, fought for the imperial army after finishing school…
Onyx: I'm from the southern lands. Apparently the only one here who is. I grew up in the countryside.
Ruby: I'm from the northern kingdom, so my nation is at war with Amethyst's and the other's. Though it doesn't really stop us from hanging out together during the terms.


23. Do you find yourself attractive?

Amethyst: Hell yeah! I don't have all those girls hanging on my tail all day for nothing!
Citrine: The problem is he is right. He is handsome for being such a jerk. I guess what he has in looks he lacks in manners. But I admit it. He has got some looks. But there are guys here who are even more good-looking… You, for example…
Carnelian: What, me? You really should not say such things, Citrine. I'm your teacher. But I guess girls tend to find me attractive. I wasn't so much unlike Amethyst when I was at school.
Amethyst: What!? You never told me that!
Carnelian: No, why should I?
Onyx: Just shut up you two.
Citrine: But you are rather handsome yourself, Onyx.
Onyx: Nah. I don't think I'm ugly, but I don't know about attractive...
Ruby: Come on, guys. Looks isn't everything, after all!
All but Ruby: ...


24. What's the stupidest thing you've ever pulled off?

Amethyst: Well, I'm not proud of it… *blushes*
Ruby: Come on, Ame! Tell us!
Amethyst: Well… I can't even say what's the stupidest. I've played loads of rather stupid pranks on a lot of people… Put bugs in my brothers food, put a squirrel in Onyx's bed once…
Onyx: That's hardly forgotten…
Amethyst: But the worst must be the time I levitated Mr Quartz through the entire entrance hall… He wasn't happy about it… And the thing is, I don't even remember why I did it!
Ruby: Geez, Amethyst! I wish I had the guts to do such things…
Amethyst: No, you don't! *facepalm* It's not about courage anyway.
Carnelian: Joining the army, really. But I will go back if it's needed, because I would rather fight to the death on the battlefield than see my home in the hands of the king of Boreas.
Citrine: Ehh… I really don't want to tell you…
Onyx: Come on, Ci. Everybody else is telling. You have to, too!
Citrine: Crushing on Amethyst in fifth grade…
Amethyst: !!!
Ruby: Why was that so stupid?
Citrine: Because he is a jerk and a silly, self-righteous idiot! That's why!
Amethyst: Will you please stop that? You're hurting my pride.
Citrine: I don't really care about your pride. Just shut up yourself.
Onyx: I think it's time to move on…
Ruby: Because you haven't confessed yet!
Onyx: …


25. Are there any animals you like?

Amethyst: Nah, not really… I'm not so much into animals…
Ruby: How can you not like animals?
Amethyst: There's nothing wrong with them, though.
Carnelian: I love birds.
Citrine: I don't really know… I have a couple of cats at home.
Onyx: Yeah, horses. I used to have a horse, and I really miss riding.
Ruby: I like pretty much all animals!


26. Have any dreams or plans for the future?

Amethyst: Nah… I'm living here and now. You'll never get to the future anyway, because when you do it has already become the now… Or something like that… Maybe I should be a philosopher?! That's probably a really bad idea…
Carnelian: I dream of peace, and I think I'm not the only one. Though it's not like I can fulfil that dream myself. There are so many involved. Though I hope I will live to see the day Ortus and Boreas lay down arms.
Citrine: I haven't thought so much about it. Though I guess I would like to have a husband, a couple of kids… A family, simple as that.
Onyx: I would like to be an artist or something like that. And I would like to have a family, just like Citrine said.
Ruby: I would love owning a bakery, I think… Then you all could come and visit me and have my cakes!


27. Any last words?

Amethyst: Well… Kisses for my fangirls, I love you all!
Citrine: …
Carnelian: No, not really.
Citrine: Hope you enjoyed reading this, because I didn't really enjoy doing it.
Onyx: Uhm, goodbye, I guess?
